Telehealth is an appointment using a secure video call platform such as zoom or skype in order to deliver health care when patients and health care professionals are not in the same physical location. Telehealth appointments allows Physiotherapists to continue assessing and managing injuries while clinics are closed during level 4 and level 3.
Telehealth is a way of keeping your rehabilitation and treatment going without face to face contact with your physiotherapist. It is approved by the Ministry of Health, ACC as a safe and effective form of treatment and is being used around the world by health professionals. While we may not be able to provide physical treatment, we will be able to assess, monitor and progress your exercise rehabilitation programme and provide advice regarding your injury. We can even assess and manage new injuries that may have occurred during this time.
Telehealth is easy to use and all you will need is either your laptop or smartphone with a camera and access to Zoom or Skype. We will send you further instructions after booking in with us. There is also no surcharge on top of ACC for Telehealth appointments.
Thank you for your ongoing support during these unprecedented times. We’ll see you back at our clinic as soon as possible.
